title : Obligatory 2013 post
I must say that 2013 has been a year of many firsts, and one of the best if not the best year I've had so far.
It definitely has opened my eyes to many things and I feel like I've become a much better person out of it. I've grown so much, and I think I have found out what I want to do in life.
Here's a recap of the amazing things that has happened in 2013
1) Meeting friends in uni that I can truly get along with and/or share my passions with
2) Going to Turkey -- I've learnt so much about spirituality there, I've felt like I've become a much more faithful muslim
3) Catching all of Alfian Sa'at's plays this year -- Optic Trilogy, Asian Boys, Cook A Pot Of Curry, Kakak Kau Punye Laki.
4) Catching the best. gig. ever -- Asian Kungfu Generation + STRAIGHTENER
5) Making films and winning a film competition
6) Being told by my writing teacher that I'm a good writer
7) Seeing the stories you write come to life through making a film -- really is one of the most rewarding things ever
8) I learnt baking -- a new skill which I thought I would never pick up
Really, the good things that have happened this year really overthrow the bad ones. In fact, I can hardly think of bad things. This truly has been a magical, magical year for me and I am truly thankful to god for making my life so wonderful although I have been such a sinner.
Also, thank you so much to everyone in my life for making this year a special one for me.
I am truly grateful, and I hope that 2014 will be as great a year or better. Hoping the best for everyone else too.
